Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RiderIQ's mobile application, web dashboard, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RiderIQ provides a real-time GPS race tracking and analytics platform for cyclists. The Service includes race creation and management, live GPS tracking during races, course analysis, metabolic profiling, ride history, and related features.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use certain features of the Service. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly update your information if it changes
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Transmit malicious code, spam, or harmful content
  • Manipulate race data, GPS positions, or leaderboard results
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service
  • Impersonate another person or entity

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload to the Service (ride data, course files, profile information). By uploading content, you grant RiderIQ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process that content solely to provide and improve the Service.

6. Race Participation

When participating in races through the Service, you acknowledge that:

  • Your real-time location and ride data will be visible to other race participants and spectators
  • Cycling and racing involve inherent physical risks — the Service does not replace safe riding practices
  • You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and riding safely regardless of race data displayed in the app
  • RiderIQ is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or damages that occur during cycling activities

7. Subscriptions & Payments

Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription. If you purchase a subscription:

  • Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis
  • You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by RiderIQ and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • GPS data will be perfectly accurate at all times
  • Race results derived from GPS tracking will be official or infallible

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RiderIQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to injuries during cycling, loss of data, or interruption of service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
