RiderIQ ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the RiderIQ mobile application, web dashboard, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optional profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from your Google account.
Location Data
During active races and ride recording, we collect real-time GPS location data from your device. This data is used to provide live tracking, calculate race positions, and generate ride statistics. Location data is only collected when you actively start a race or ride recording session.
Ride & Performance Data
We collect ride data including speed, distance, duration, elevation, and route information. If you upload metabolic test data, we store that to generate your physiological profile and training zones.
Device & Usage Data
We automatically collect device type, operating system, app version, and general usage analytics to improve the Service.
3. How We Use Your Information

- Race Participants: During a race, your name, location, and ride data are visible to other participants and spectators of that race.
- Service Providers: We use third-party services (e.g., Firebase, Mapbox) to operate the Service. These providers only access data necessary to perform their functions.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal process.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and ride data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@rideriq.app.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), secure cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud / Firebase), and access controls to protect your data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
